What Would You Do For A Choo?

A girl's best friend? Sure diamonds are always top of the list, but now so is Choo!

Jimmy Choo shoes have become an icon of luxury accessories. Though British Vogue, in 1988, first introduced the fabulous designs of Jimmy Choo, Sex and the City certainly made him a household name.

Carrie, what she wouldn't do for a Choo. Throughout the series of Sex and the City, there seemed to be a climax building on the passion for shoes. And though the famous shoe standing alone in the closet of Big and Carrie, in Sex and the City One, was a Manolo Blahniks, Sex and the City Two sported the shoe's of Choo everywhere.

But for those of us who live outside of Hollywood, what do we have to do for a Choo? Just lay $600.00+ on the sales table, that's all!

Maybe if a special occasion that requires full attention to be placed on you, be it all dolled up, or just nude, then maybe you could justify the cost. But otherwise, it might be wise to shop around for shoes that look fabulous but don't leave you broke. Don't tell Choo I told you this, but Bakers shoes have some really fabulous Faux replica's of numerous designer shoes.

So, if your habit requires a Shoo,
But your bank can't do a Choo,
Try a fake.
You can pull it off!

Choo $950.00 or Baker $35.00!

At What Age Should A Woman Stop Wearing A Bikini?

How will you look when you become a 50 year old woman? How about 60? And more?
Do you think you would or should wear a Brazilian bikini, (photo above) at the age of 56? Or how about a bikini at the age of 63?

Well, Beauty Shop Buzz has now set up shop in Miami, and like our time in Rio, we are certain of one beauty fact: Keeping Your Body In Shape, Inside And Out, Is Your Personal Fashion Statement!

Here in the salon, we see thousands of women who will put in the time and money to keep up their hair color, cuts, eyebrows, nails, and every service a beauty salon has to offer. At the plastic surgeon, every age has begun to altar their body. But what does this scenario look like at the gym, aqua fitness programs, or the local walking trails in your neighborhood? Not as committed? Why? Because it requires true commitment and work from the person that desires a health and fitness that can't be bought, sliced, or diced.

Many things occur inside our body as we age, and those beautiful breasts, thighs, and abs you may now be sporting as a young woman, will suddenly go south, before you have given the time to re-route a road map for them to know which direction to go.

Good eating habits are your best approach to the personal control over your health and beauty. With a little help and a plan, your food can actually act as your medicine, your hormone replacement, your vitamins, your cellular rejuvenation, and a sure antidote to bad hair and skin. This is no secret remedy for anyone wanting to take control of good health and beauty.

But, if being assured that you will wear a bikini at the age of 60 is your objective, then a very different mind set is at hand here. Of course all of the aids above will apply, but this category of woman fits into a very different mind set than the exercise/diet category. She is a woman that sets the standards higher, defies past data, breaks the normal understanding of aging women, and is out to prove something.

Proving that you can and will wear a bikini on a public beach and still get whistles and flirts at the age of 60+, is not for everyone; and it is not about attracting attention, the way a woman in her 30's would. It is the same - Dare to Achieve - that encouraged women to win the right to vote in the 1920's, or to be hired as the first newspaper editor in the late 1700's, drive an eighteen wheeler, work a coal mine, take on the position as president of a bank in 1917, or cook for the White House in 2005! Imagine, women have cooked for everyone else since the beginning of time, what took so long to be honored as executive chef of the White House!

Women have achieved many great strides over the years and opened the way for those women who would follow in their foot steps. But this new era of perfect looks, bombshell bodies, plastic surgery, botox, sexuality as a marketing tool, and 20 to 30 year old women controlling the editorials, have changed also.

While the age of granny in a rocking chair knitting socks for her grandchildren, might inspire some women yet today, that same age group of women in those rocking chairs are now breaking all the rules of aging and achievements.

And so, as the watching world celebrates great accomplishments made by women, now we have something new to celebrate. Wearing a bikini past the age of 60, and looking great, is something many more women of today are aspiring to achieve. Why? Because we can, and a beautiful woman at any age should be acknowledged for the efforts required to break the norm, and dare to set the standards as high as possible.

The video clip of Helen Mirren is inspiring and well worth watching.
It is never too late in life for a woman to aspire to something a little daring.
What fulfilling undertaking will you triumph to?

Bikini Ready!

There is summer swimwear, and then there is 'The Bikini'! Rio style that is.

Summer, and its revealing attire, is something we anguish over in America. Why, because we can cover everything up and camouflage our imperfections most of the year. But what if you lived in a climate that was always summer, and everything hung out? What would you do differently to take care of your body?

If you wouldn't do anything differently, then this article is not for you, but if this rings a moment of truth for you: read on.

There is, of course, the issue of fat, and of course all women think they have too much of it, no matter how slim they may be. If you want to know what looks best in a bathing suit, look at who is looking: the men. Who do they look at? Chances are, they are most often looking at the body types very different than you would think. A man likes to look at a woman. For each man, that definition might be a little different, but a woman's body is a woman's body, by any definition. Think about that before you are so hard on yourself when you wiggle into that bathing suit.

Maybe what you really need to be concerned with is your blotchy skin, or your cellulite; which is usually a result of the chemical laden foods you are eating. Processed foods might taste good for the moment, or be convenient for your life style, but they will leave their mark on your thighs. Those ripply orange peel thighs are really just trapped toxins on the inside of your skin.

Water is a girls best friend when it comes to smooth and flawless skin. Ever notice that even a young sixteen year old girl can have bumpy arms or thighs? That is a result of her not drinking sufficient amounts of water. One liter a day should be your minimum, more if you smoke, drink sodas, lots of coffee or frequent alcohol daily.

Nourish. On a trip to a beach in Rio I couldn't help but notice how sexy the women looked. Then I really took to watching what they ate, drank or did while on the beach that would give some indication as to what made them look different. Agua de Coco, water of the coconut. This magic fruit sold on every beach in Brazil is kept on ice, cut open when purchased and drank with a straw. At first I thought the taste was less than exciting, but in time I realized it was powerful in nourishment. Brazilian women said it made their hair and skin beautiful. I drank. Everyday.

Hair. So many of the Brazilian women came to the beach with secret potions they put in their hair while in the sun, and cremes on their skin that were not based in mineral oil; which by the way is a terrible toxin to our body, fed through our pores and is the primary ingredient in baby oil. Instead, the cremes and oils used by these tropical beauties smelled of nut oils, and fruity things.

Then of course, Acai! On every corner and in every restaurant throughout Brazil are little cafes that sell the most amazing thing; Acai. Sometimes it is eaten as a dessert, while other times, just a pit stop between meals. The entire fruit is ground and then frozen into a slushy-like sorbet, served in a huge bowl with granola sprinkled on top. It is so rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and nourishment for skin and hair; though it is high in calories which is always a taboo word for Americans, in Brazil they know it is good calories.

So the question to ask yourself this summer; how is your body looking for swimwear? Whether hidden behind work cloths all day or snow gear all winter, our body should always look; bikini ready. Why? because it is a reflection of our internal health, and that should always be bikini ready!
