MORE THAN JUST HAIR!

If you knew that your next haircut, color, or beauty treatment would become an important contribution to a historical network of story tellers; would you  place greater value on your contribution?

If you knew that your salon had joined a network with other salons to help underprivileged youth who have no hope for jobs or self-sufficiency, get a scholarship into beauty school (a $20,000 education),    simply by purchasing a book; would you ask your hairdresser where you could buy a copy of that book, so you could join the support as well?

Fabulous! Then you are one of the thousands of men, women, and teens that know your visit to the salon has become more than just hair!

Confessions of a Hairdresser was written by a hairdresser of thirty years, that collected years of stories told to hairdressers by their clients; stories that will make you laugh, cry, blush, and even encounter the unexpected. This book is fun, informative, and entertaining; but more important, this book is accomplishing all the above.

Salons that are purchasing a copy of Confessions of a Hairdresser to keep in their salon, do so knowing that a percentage of the profits are being donated to EFL (Education For Life), a non-profit organization started by Intercoiffure Mondial (a world organization of top hairdressers). Intercoiffure Mondial took on the project to raise funds for its first success story back in 2004 when a simple school was erected in Brazil, therefore giving streets kids hope for a real job. Since then, numerous schools in various parts of the world have become self sufficiently supported by annual fund-raising projects.

Now, here in the US, a scholarship program has been created by members of Intercoiffure Mondial to accomplish the same success stories for underprivileged youth here in America.  Contributions from funds raised by the sale of Confessions of a Hairdresser, go directly into the project here in the US.

How can you do your part? Simply purchase your copy of Confessions of a Hairdresser through Amazon, or ask your salon to put a copy there for your reading pleasure during your brief wait time while in the salon.

Or, you can ask your hairdresser directly to pick up their copy, because there is a personal invitation on the last page of the book for hairdressers to submit a favorite story of their own, for continued editions of Confessions of a Hairdresser. But remember; the stories you tell your hairdresser might end up in print!

Call it gossip, or call it novellas, but we simply call it the art of good story telling; the kind that helps!
