Is it my imagination, or has one of the fashion statements we depend on, become a suitcase? Our Purse! Just when I thought a shoulder strap purse was big enough to lose most of my things at the bottom: it got bigger!
You know, it is troublesome enough trying to walk gracefully in heels so high that I have felt the necessity to eliminate possible great dates, because suddenly they are too short; but now I have to practice a balancing act, not to lean to the side where my ‘big suitcase’ is housing all my things.
Why are all these fashion obstacles inflicted on women? It won’t be long before the fashion industry will create something we are supposed to balance on our head!
Unanimously it was voted in our salon, that a Backpack was the solution.
No, not the nylon kind that kids take to school. The same chic and classy styles of the one shoulder bag, but designed to carry over both shoulders, behind you.
Balance
When the fashionable straps go over both shoulders, it gives more balance to our walk: therefore giving us a better posture. When we have better posture, the visual focus of our body has a better opportunity to be displayed.
Lets face it, women are always noticed for their T&A: you know… our breasts and butt. But none of us will admit how much we struggle to gracefully display our wears, if gravity and stilts are throwing off our game.
It is amazing, and yet simple how a backpack can help women accomplish our intent:
• Breasts: Shoulder straps on both shoulders will gently pull both shoulders back, therefore forcing our chest to protrude out. Perky breasts, instantly.
• Butt: As the bag of the backpack gently bobs against the curve in our back, it brings attention to the upper movement of our buttocks, which also creates a nice rhythm to our walk.
Now, if appearance is not the primary focus of your intention; then practicality will certainly attract your attention. With a cell phone in one hand, and your necessities safely carried behind you, your other hand is free to grasp a child or stroller, and also available for conversational gestures or picking and poking at items of interest.
Style? That is up to the fashion and design world to create backpacks that are equally as attractive as the monster bags we are currently carrying. But if it were up to me, I would like to see a bit more creativity on the straps that will be adorning my attire. Come on designers… get with it!
